Blogger and Artist from HorrorMade.com
As artists we are driven by our need to create. But man, sometimes making that jump from creating to making money from your creations is a big one.
I've been working on building my business through HorrorMade.com based around the idea that I love horror and making creepy things. So I wanted to find an audience who loves the same stuff. With the intention that, eventually, I can take what I love and start making a living off it.
I've learned a lot and still have a long way to go, but I've found that some of my best ideas about how to get from point A to point B have come from the podcasts I listen to. So I wanted to take the opportunity today to share 5 of the best entrepreneurial podcasts I've discovered.
Because, as an artist who wants to make money off of her own craft, I'm aiming to be exactly that, an entrepreneur.
I think artists can learn a lot from the business world (and certainly vice versa) but today I just wanted to share a few postcasts that I think start the conversation of unorthodox business building in a very approachable way.
So here are 5 entrepreneurial podcasts that I have found to be incredibly helpful and inspiring when approaching business building around my art.
Smart Passive Income
The Solopreneur Hour
Similar to Pat Flynn with Ask Pat - Micheal also takes the time to answer questions from his listeners and help them out with their business problems. He dedicates every Friday to exactly that.
And again, I love hearing this interaction. It makes this venture seem so much less daunting.
The Thriving Solopreneur
BTW - If you're looking to start a blog I absolutely recommend checking out hers: danielauslan.com
Hack The Entrepreneur
So, have a listen and start thinking about how you can take what you love and find a way to have it support you.
Have any recommendations you'd like to add to the list? Let me know, leave me a comment :)
